So, you might be asking why my posts for the last two months have been nonexistent. Long story short, I haven't have access to my home computer (alas, no laptop) and I've been on another computer which can't handle my graphics program. And so, no graphics. But I am here and haven't fallen off of the face of the earth, andd I'm no longer sick so yay. Unfortunately, I'm not sure when I'll be able to go back to my house where my comp is, so I'll just have to make due without a graphics program. Thank goodness I at least have internet, and I might be posting some old stuff in the meantime if I get the time to keep you guys from running after me with pitchforks and all. ;P So, that's the news and I'll post if there's an update. For now, just look for musing posts and perhaps some old work.

Alas, you've probably seen nothing here for the past month except for some dusty old icons and a lack of new creations. The cause? Well, I'd say school for the most part and a lack of graphics muse for the other. My requests are closed so hopefully I'll be having more time to make a batch of icons for ye. Hopefully I can get in a lot more than I've been posting to make it up to you all. Just letting you all know that I didn't drop off of the face of the earth. ;)

Yay! I just got my computer back. They had to completely wipe the hard drive clean, so I'll have to redownload everything from my resources page, but after that, I should be good on the whole icon-making. All of my stuff got deleted because I was too stupid to backup my files before I got the virus, but not to worry. It's nothing that can't be replaced. xD Thank goodness for photobucket. *rejoices the new clean computer*

Yay! I was able to save my last batch of icons even though my computer was plotting against me. I seemed to have misplaced the flash drive I had them on, but luckily I was able to get on the comp and upload them to Photobucket before my system went crazy. <.<; Whew. So...yay for Adrien Brody?

Yes, my computer is all infected now, thanks to Frostwire. >.>; It's a long story but basically I've had to fight with my computer this entire week and I managed to back up my icons and textures on a flash drive. There's something weird infecting my font files and gimp isn't loading because of that, which really really really sucks. x.x; I hate computer viruses. For now, my computer can do basic stuffs because of the virus protection stuffs I have on it, but apparently it's skipping over something. Soooo either my compuiter is going off Tuesday to be fixed or I'm going to try to kill this with KasperSky. Whichever comes first. x.x; This sucks.

Random new header post! This one was a pretty easy make. I'm not yet sure of what I think about it though. I just wanted a change. So, there it is and if you like it say so. If ya don't, ditto. I need to figure out what my own opinion is of it. xD

As a result of playing around with new techniques once again, I present to you the random people icon post, which almost has absolutely no theme except...People? >.>; I got most of these pictures off of sweet and talented because I thought they looked neat, hence the number of random celebs in this post. Let's just say it's a little bit of everyone to save the trouble of saying almost 27 names. ;P

So I brought it up in another post of mine that I was working on some visual representation of my HP Beauxbatons transcripts for my roleplay character on MNI, because I'm obsessed. <.<; So, I started out with good ol'GIMP and came up a pretty nice template to work off of. I ended up getting the parchment from a stock photo site but I had to edit it a bit to get it turning out like I wanted it to. I posted the unfinished OWLs one ealier, and now I'm finished with all three. So if anyone would like to see the spiffy transcripts, please click the cut. They're a bit too big to post randomly here. ;p (about 500 in width and 700 pixels in height)

Here's to trying some new coloring techniques, inspired by a tutorial that I have yet to find and credit, but nonetheless here are ze icons. Basically I didn't go all out with these, but I ended up liking most. There's probably two or three, as there are with every batch that I dislike. ;P I would also like to remark that photobucket is evil and it froze my computer so I'm having to retype this all over again. So fooey. It's all those stupid new features I tell you.

Yes, I like to credit people for their icons, because I know what it takes to make them. I usually label the LJ username to icons I upload into my favorites album on Photobucket. Unfortunately though, I'm a 100% human and often times forget who made which icon. Others I'm not sure if its the username I saved in the file name. So, in order to use these on a forum (MNI) I would like to credit you all properly. I'm asking for your help. If you know of who made an icon I've posted here, or if you were the one who made it please say so I can credit the right people. Because, you know, credit is love.

There are a number of these because I'm terribly forgetful, and I would also like to point out that I have no idea if some of these even came from LJ or not. I just want to at least get some names for some of these at least. *dies*

Okay, so I’m totally community pimping here, but I think you guys should run on over and check out touchee. It’s an icon community that I’m part of that was started by the lovely kakjzaaliite. There’s some great icons being made there and comments are zip, zilch, and zero. So take the time to at least head over there and see what those fine ladies have up. Trust me, they’re really nice icons and they’ll really appreciate your comments. ;)

These were a request from beffosaur (aka. The lovely Beth) but they are completely sharable. As in, anyone and their grandmother can use them as long as they comment when taking, credit properly, and don't claim my work as their own. Simple, right? As another note I would like to say that I'm trying out a new template, but I'm not sure who it's by. If anyone has an idea I would love to credit them in the ye olde icon resource post. And speaking of icons, these were mainly wild experiments, as I tend to do, so enjoy the different techniques I tried. I would love to hear which ones are your favorites so I can get an idea of what everyone likes the most. ;)

Soooo, yes. :B angelamaria 's amazing icon template is working now so I can finally post these icons. Kudos to her for getting it fixed because I'm entirely addicted to that template.

Anywho, Woooo. A nice fresh new batch of icons. Elizabeth Hurley icons. I'm pretty pleased with this batch. It's only one or two I look at and think "...WTF?". Comment, credit, and love. You know, the three basic rules of life. ;P

Just because I like to keep everyone informed of what's going on around here...

Currently I have finished the Elizabeth Hurley batch, but the icon template I normally use is going all funny on me so I'm postponing them. Not to worry, I know it's just not me being a coding moron this time. Others have had the same problem. I did figure out that I could just take the code as I posted it before and probably post the links in there if it isn't fixed before too long. Why haven't I done that now? <.<; Well, because it's miles of html and that makes my head hurt. If worst comes to absolute worst I think I won't even do that and just take the godawful amount of time to post them here as individual images. (yes, I know. I just like the quick and easy way when it comes to icons) It's still up in the air. Just hope that this mysterious template problem goes away soon so I can post these for yins. And if it doesn't, just know that I'll be posting them anyway in some other form. For now, here's a tiny preview. (yes, that's my favorite one out of the batch)



Also, I edited out the funny yellow color in my other post that was blinding everyone. That time I was being a coding moron and had mistakenly set the color for the last paragraph for gold. >.>; Because I'm OCD like that and it bothered me, I had to edit. Now, seeing that I'm keeping you updated, here's a very vague list of what I'm working on. A 'to-do list', if you will.

First, I must finish typing up those journals still. I really haven't sat down and opened my actual journal to finish typing those out, but from what I remember I'm thinking it's going to be over 10 pages in MS word with the font size set to Verdana at 8pt. So, yes, sucks for me, but I'm going to type those up eventually. I have yet to add them to my CoS on MNI, which I really want to do.

Second, I am working on a graphic for a Beauxbatons transcript for my character. No, there's not any particular need for it, but it makes me happy to have a visual representation for things like this. And yes, I'm entirely obsessed with HP roleplay. I think it's a neat little project to do though, and so far I have half of the page done. Just click the cut to see that. Also, if anyone knows of a HP info base that has a good and accurate Beauxbatons section, let me know. I already have the Lexicon and HPwiki saved in my favs and those have helped tremendously. I doubt that there's more info than what I've found, but it never hurts to scavenger hunt. I wanted to check in all possible places before I went my own way with a bit of JK Rowling's world.

Third, I would like to mention that Warner Brothers has fallen entirely below my expectations by postponing the HP movie and that they are "derrty sons of beeeches" for doing that, as my brother would say. I see no other reasoning behind it besides the money and it irritates me to no end that they could do that to us devote fans. But, of course, that really isn't so much as something I'm working on rather than just my personal opinion.

Fourth, I am planning to make another batch of light textures soon. I was wondering if anyone else was having difficulty downloading them so I can make different arrangements for when I post the next batch. Also, I think that I'm going to keep the batch to just 30 this time. Not that I regret the 100 pack, seeing that it was a good way to kick off my texture posts in this journal, but I think I can get them to you quicker in smaller bunches.

So that is the future so far for this journal. Random comments are appreciated. :B

Yes, I deleted the ye olde request post. It wasn’t getting much use anyway and I have a whole lineup of icons batches I can finish, so I have that covered. Not to mention that it lets the more important stuff be closer to the top. (past the monsterously huge banner, I know. <.<; I love my banners) But if you would like to make a request feel free to post it wherever and I shall find it. I’m always checking for new comments so it will be found, trust me.

Speaking of comments, all of yins are being exceptionally quiet. I think the most feedback I got was from that cookie monster icon I posted that everyone grabbed. xD I thought that was kind of funny. I am getting friended by a lot of yins though, so here’s a well-deserved cybermuffin for you. *hands muffin*

Just remember that you can comment. I won’t bite your head off of anything, you silly people. ;P

And also I wanted to say that I made a fancy new LJ header. The quote is a lyric from a Jack Johnson song, whom I have fallen in love with as of late. ;P I bought his CD and I love every single song on it. It's really down-to-earth music. So enjoy the new banner and comments on it are appreciated.

Well, I haven’t sat down and finished those journals yet, but…I did happen to finish my light textures for yins. Yep. 100 shiny brand spankin’ new light textures.
